On a summer day in 1975, a distressing discovery was made in a Tulsa, Oklahoma, home that would leave a lasting mark on the community. Thirty-one-year-old Barbara Jean Whitfield, a female, was found tragically murdered in her residence on 29th Street North on June 27th. The scene revealed a violent struggle, and it was determined that she had succumbed to a fatal stab wound.
