In the early hours of October 3, 2007, San Francisco police discovered 29-year-old Ramadan Smith lying face down in the bike lane on the 2300 block of Post Street in the Western Addition neighborhood. Officers responded to the scene around 1 a.m., where Smith was found with fatal gunshot wounds.
