On April 19, 2007, 29-year-old Joshua Jay Jeffries was fatally shot inside his Tulsa residence at 7719 East 31st Street. After being shot, Jeffries managed to escape his home, running to the parking lot of a nearby Cracker Barrel restaurant where he collapsed. Emergency services arrived, and he was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
