In the spring of 2022, a dispute in a convenience store parking lot in Oklahoma City tragically escalated, leading to the death of Emmanuel Calvin White, a 38-year-old man. The incident, which unfolded on the afternoon of Friday, April 1st, at the 7-Eleven located at 9416 S. Western Ave., would soon become an active homicide investigation.
Law enforcement was initially dispatched to the scene in response to reports of an altercation between two individuals. However, by the time officers arrived, the confrontation had taken a fatal turn. They discovered Mr. White with significant injuries, and the other person involved had already fled the location in a vehicle. First responders quickly transported White to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Emmanuel Calvin White succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators believe that during the altercation, the other individual intentionally used their vehicle to run him over before leaving the scene. The case remains an open investigation, and as of yet, no arrests have been made in connection with his death.
