In the fading light of an early autumn evening in Oklahoma City, tragedy irrevocably altered the course of a young man's life. On October 4, 2009, 21-year-old Antwaine Williams, an African-American male, found himself in the parking lot of the Concord Apartments in the southwestern part of the city. It was there, just before 6 p.m., that the sharp retort of gunfire shattered the calm, leaving Williams with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds.
