In the summer of 2014, the life of 46-year-old Michael Howell, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his own home. On the evening of June 8th, residents of the Bristol Park apartment complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were startled by the sound of gunshots. Calls to 911 brought Tulsa Police Department officers to the scene. Their investigation led them to apartment 3003, where they made a grim discovery. Inside, they found Michael Howell, who had been fatally shot.
