On January 27, 2013, the skeletal remains of 71-year-old Thomas Martin were found by hikers near the Arkansas River, west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Martin had been reported missing in June 2010, after his son, Christopher, realized that he could not reach him by phone. When Christopher visited his father's home, he found Thomas' car in the driveway, with what appeared to be blood inside, and his medications were left behind, which was highly unusual.
