In the early evening of September 20, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a burst of violence shattered the quiet intersection of Hartford Avenue and Mohawk Boulevard. Damon Dyer, a 29-year-old African-American man, was behind the wheel of his car when another vehicle, described by witnesses as a large, white car, possibly a Crown Victoria, pulled up alongside. Shots rang out, and Dyer was struck multiple times.
