Do you know who murdered Antonio? In the early morning hours of June 5, 2003, the life of Antonio Broadnax, a 23-year-old Black male, was cut short in a barrage of gunfire on a Tulsa, Oklahoma street. The incident unfolded at approximately 2:35 a.m. near 3100 E. Apache when the vehicle Broadnax was traveling in with several friends was fired upon multiple times.
Responding to a disturbance call, Tulsa police officers arrived to find a blue Cadillac abandoned in the middle of the road.
Shortly thereafter, reports came in from a local hospital that multiple individuals had arrived with gunshot wounds. Among them was Antonio Broadnax, who had sustained several bullet wounds. Despite medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries. While others in the vehicle were also struck by the gunfire, Broadnax was the sole fatality.
The investigation into the shooting has since gone cold, and the Tulsa Police Department lists the case as an unsolved homicide. To date, no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Antonio Broadnax. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive behind the attack remain unknown, leaving a case that has remained without closure for over two decades.
