On October 2, 2016, Norman Huntley, age 42, was shot and killed while working as a security guard at the Route 66 Event Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. while Huntley was overseeing an event. Authorities later identified Byron Terrail Penn, a 31-year-old with a criminal history including firearm possession and burglary, as the suspect in the shooting.
