In the late hours of a Monday night in Oklahoma City, tragedy befell the Hinds family once again. David Ray Hinds Jr., a 48-year-old man, was found shot to death in a grassy area outside the Relax Inn on Northeast 23rd Street. The call reporting a person struck by gunfire came in just before 11:10 p.m. on April 21, 2025. When police arrived, they discovered Hinds, who had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. This incident marked the 19th homicide in Oklahoma City for the year.
