On July 20, 1976, 68-year-old Virginia Vangler was found dead in Whitehall, Ohio, under suspicious circumstances. Vangler had been staying at the Holiday Inn East, located at 4801 East Broad Street in Whitehall, for approximately four months prior to her death.
