Ruth Stires

On December 13, 1987, Ruth Ann Stires, aged 67, was murdered in Whitehall, Ohio, where she worked as a manager at the Alamo Motel located at 3855 East Main Street. In the early hours of the morning, Ruth left the motel office to turn off the lights in a nearby boiler and storage room. She was ambushed in that storage room, where she was violently attacked, tied up, and beaten to death.
