Nancy, who lived with her siblings near her workplace, did not have a car and typically walked home or occasionally received a ride from her brother. On that night, however, she did not call for a ride and was never seen alive again.
Nancy’s disappearance led to a massive search effort as she was known to be a responsible student who always kept her family informed of her whereabouts. Her body was tragically discovered on December 26, 1977, in a wooded area near Beckett Road in West Chester Township, Ohio. Nancy was found with her hands bound and a rope around her neck, and she had been strangled.
