On January 4, 1987, Ann Bowlby, a 21-year-old woman, was found shot to death in her residence located on State Route 668 in New Straitsville, Ohio. The incident likely occurred sometime between January 3 and January 4, 1987. Ann was discovered by her sister and brother-in-law, who visited her home and found her lying face down on the living room floor. The Perry County Sheriff's Office classified her death as a homicide.
