Twenty-nine-year-old Eric Veal, a Black male, met a tragic end on August 7, 2000, when he was stabbed to death inside his apartment located at 226 McCormick Place in Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident occurred in Hamilton County, where the Cincinnati Police Department took charge of the investigation.
The case remains unsolved to this day, with the circumstances surrounding his death still shrouded in mystery. Despite being handled by the Cincinnati Police Department, which serves 52 diverse neighborhoods and employs approximately 1,000 sworn officers, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing death of Eric Veal.
The case has since been classified as a cold case homicide by the Ohio Attorney General's office, who continues to seek information about the circumstances surrounding the death of the 29-year-old Black male.
