On November 4, 2006, Gerensae Tekie, a 52-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in his place of business located at 981 Sullivant Avenue. Tekie sustained a fatal gunshot wound during the incident, which ultimately led to his death. The case remains unsolved, and the Columbus Police Department has been actively investigating but has yet to make any arrests.
