On February 26, 2022, 34-year-old Floyd Bacon, a Black male, was found shot to death in a backyard in the North Linden neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. Columbus police received a report of a deceased male in the backyard of a residence on Oakland Park Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers observed an apparent gunshot wound on Bacon's body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after medics arrived.
