On July 1, 2007, 21-year-old Santana Ivey was reported missing in Zanesville, Ohio. She was last seen in the area of Luck and Muskingum Avenues in Zanesville. Despite extensive searches, her whereabouts remained unknown for several months. Then, on October 28, 2007, Santana's remains were discovered in a rural part of Perry County, Ohio. The discovery of her body confirmed what authorities had feared — that she had become a victim of homicide.
