On the morning of July 12, 2007, 30-year-old Luis Orlando Morales was found dead in front of his apartment located at 4434 East Mound Street in Whitehall, Ohio, a suburb on the east side of Columbus. Morales had suffered multiple stab wounds, and his body was discovered among parked cars in the residential area.
