On October 9, 2008, Markell L. Peaks, aged 27, was killed in a triple homicide in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place at an apartment located on 1988 Fairmont Avenue. The crime also involved the deaths of Franklin Walker and Carol Welch. All three victims were found shot multiple times, and it was determined that Peaks and Walker each sustained three gunshot wounds to the head and back.
