On October 10, 2009, 18-year-old Donnie Heywood was fatally shot in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident took place around 12:05 a.m. near the 700 block of East 96th Street, where multiple gunshots were heard. After being struck, Heywood managed to run into a nearby residence, informing the occupants that he had been shot. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries. The official cause of death was determined to be a single gunshot wound to his back.
Despite investigations, no suspects have been publicly identified, and Heywood's case remains unsolved. The Cleveland Police Department and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office continue to seek information from the public, hoping that new tips might help solve the case and bring justice for Donnie and closure to his family.
