Theodore Broadus, an 18-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2023. He was fatally shot while sitting in a car in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood, specifically near the 3200 block of West 38th Street. Reports indicate that he sustained gunshot wounds to the head and neck, leading to his untimely death. The incident occurred amidst a violent weekend in Cleveland, which saw multiple shootings and fatalities.
Following the shooting, law enforcement initiated an investigation that ultimately led to the identification of a suspect. Arshawn Thomas, also 18 years old, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. Although the shooting took place nearly a year prior to his arrest, a warrant for Thomas was only issued shortly before he was apprehended on April 16, 2024. He was located and taken into custody without incident at a residence on Hough Avenue in Cleveland.
