On the night of July 10, 2009, 17-year-old Xavier Gillette was shot and killed in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco. The shooting occurred around 11:20 PM near the intersection of McAllister and Webster Streets, where Xavier was hanging out with his friend Tremayne Brown. A vehicle approached the group, and several men exited, opening fire on both Gillette and Brown.
