On October 16, 2014, Rondell Brinkley, age 24, was fatally shot on a sidewalk in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around midnight on S. Champion Avenue between Whittier and Kossuth streets. Officers responding to a reported shooting found Brinkley with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to Grant Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries approximately thirty minutes later.
