On October 16, 2014, Rondell Brinkley, age 24, was fatally shot on a sidewalk in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around midnight on S. Champion Avenue between Whittier and Kossuth streets. Officers responding to a reported shooting found Brinkley with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to Grant Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries approximately thirty minutes later.
The Columbus Police Department reported no suspects or known motive in the immediate aftermath of the crime. Authorities have continued to seek information from the public to aid in solving the case.
