William Kendall Genoar, a 47-year-old resident of Salyer, California, was found dead on December 20, 2009. His body was discovered in a remote area near Salyer, and it was determined that he had been shot in the head. The body was badly decomposed by the time it was discovered, which made the investigation more challenging. No weapon was found at the scene, and there were no immediate clues as to the identity of the killer.
