Death by Force

Jose Luis Hernandez, a 19-year-old resident of San Francisco, was shot and killed on January 3, 2010, in the Excelsior District of the city. The incident occurred between 1:35 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. as Hernandez was walking home in the area of Naples and Persia. He was attacked near the intersection of Edinburgh and Persia streets and succumbed to his injuries in front of his home located at Persia and Naples. The attack seemed unprovoked, and no immediate suspects were apprehended at the time.
