On May 2, 2007, 28-year-old Arturo Perez Ibarra was found dead in his apartment at the Birchcroft Apartments in Charlotte, North Carolina. The discovery was made by his roommate, who returned home around 9 p.m. to find Ibarra deceased. At the time, the police did not immediately release details regarding how Ibarra was killed.
