At approximately 11:17 p.m., officers from the Salem Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of Taggart Drive and Wallace Road Northwest following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Rojas deceased at the scene. Described by his brother as a funny, caring, and exceptionally loyal person, Jeremiah was one of four sons raised by their single mother. His family acknowledged he had faced challenges but was consistently striving to better himself. In the wake of his death, they started a fundraiser to manage the unexpected funeral expenses, hoping to provide his grieving mother some relief.
