In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 22, 2026, a grim discovery was made at a rural property outside of Forest Grove, Oregon, that would soon unfold into a story of a horrific quintuple homicide. Firefighters were initially dispatched to the residence on Northwest Otis Lane at approximately 5:27 a.m. for a report of a vehicle fire. Upon their arrival, they discovered human remains, prompting an immediate call to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
As the investigation began, the true scale of the tragedy became apparent. Responders found a total of five deceased individuals on the property, launching what would be described as a highly complex and extensive homicide investigation.
The victims were soon identified, revealing a devastating loss that spanned generations and friendships. Among the deceased was 26-year-old Linsey Mae Haraldsen of Portland. She was found alongside her 27-year-old partner, Alvin Raymond Chu. The other victims were 26-year-old Stella Jade Kimsey, who was Linsey's best friend; Stella's 60-year-old mother, Rowan Karla Kimsey, who owned the property; and Stella's 85-year-old grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Kimsey. The investigation also revealed the deaths of several pets on the property, including two dogs and two cats. Another cat was found injured and later had to be euthanized.
Investigators quickly identified a suspect in the mass killing: 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker. Parker was Stella Kimsey's boyfriend and also resided at the Forest Grove property. Authorities tracked Parker to Enumclaw, Washington, approximately 187 miles north of the crime scene, using cell phone data and Flock camera systems. On Sunday, August 23, 2026, police in Enumclaw located Parker's vehicle behind a Safeway. Inside, they found him deceased from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. With the sole suspect in the quintuple homicide having taken his own life, the case concluded without any arrests or trial. The motive for the killings has not been publicly released. The investigation stands as a tragic case of mass murder and suicide, leaving a community to mourn the loss of five lives.
