In the early morning hours of July 13, 2026, a wave of violence shattered the quiet communities of Northampton County on Virginia's Eastern Shore, leaving two women dead and three other people wounded. Among the victims was 70-year-old Katrina Henriques, a resident of Nassawadox, who was found shot in her home. This incident escalated into a shooting spree that would ultimately claim the life of Ms. Henriques and another woman, Rebecca Knox, age 37.
The suspect in this devastating series of events was identified as Trevor Claude Henriques, the 45-year-old son of Katrina Henriques. In addition to being the son of one of the deceased, he was also the boyfriend of the other woman killed, Rebecca Knox. The rampage involved shootings at three different locations and an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officers. One deputy was struck in their ballistic vest but was not seriously injured. Trevor Henriques is currently being held without bond at the Eastern Shore Regional Jail.
