In the quiet, early hours of July 14, 2026, the life of 19-year-old Shaniya Monroe, a young woman who had just journeyed from her native Michigan to Texas, was tragically cut short. Just after midnight, at approximately 12:07 a.m., gunshots shattered the peace at the Wexford Townhomes on Wemberly Circle in Duncanville.
