On the night of June 30, 2026, a 911 call reporting an assault in progress shattered the quiet of a Flatbush, Brooklyn neighborhood. When police arrived at the apartment building on Foster Avenue just before 11:30 p.m., they discovered 24-year-old Tatiana Pettus inside with a fatal gunshot wound to her neck.
