In the early morning hours of June 30, 2026, the life of 18-year-old Jacovee Tillman was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at a Texaco gas station on Medgar Evers Boulevard in Jackson, Mississippi. Responding to the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers from the Jackson Police Department and the Hinds County Coroner found the young man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
