In the early morning hours of July 3, 2026, the life of 23-year-old Isaiah Vallejo, a Latino male from Sylmar, was tragically cut short. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Lancaster Station responded to a call of a death investigation at a residence in the 45000 block of 21st Street West in Lancaster. Inside the home, they discovered Vallejo, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office later confirmed his cause of death as homicide due to the gunshot wounds.
Isaiah, known affectionately as "Nene" to his loved ones, was remembered as a young man with a big heart who was always willing to help others. His aunt, in a heartfelt tribute, described him as a protector who looked out for everyone around him. He had aspirations of joining the army and was known for his fun-loving and goofy personality, often dancing and acting silly to bring joy to those around him. He enjoyed playing video games, attending concerts, and spending time with his friends and uncles at theme parks.
