In the early morning hours of July 5, 2026, a Sunday, the life of 26-year-old Jalunta Hawkins, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Rosenberg, Texas. The fatal encounter unfolded around 4:30 a.m. at The Henry at Rosenberg Apartments located on Fountains Drive. Responding to reports of a shooting, officers from the Rosenberg Police Department discovered Hawkins in the pool area of the complex, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
