In the early afternoon of July 7, 2026, events were set in motion that would tragically end the life of 19-year-old Seth Jayden Eccles of Savannah. On that day, the DeKalb County Police Department was investigating the armed robbery of a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier. During their investigation, U.S. Postal Inspection Service agents identified Eccles as a person of interest and spoke with him.
