In the late spring of 2026, the life of 36-year-old Ben Jefferson, a Black male also known to his loved ones as Benjamin Jefferson III or simply "BJ," was tragically cut short. On the evening of May 25th, in the town of Lexington, Mississippi, Jefferson was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting.
