Austin Davis, a 10-year-old boy, was killed on May 25, 2026, during a violent domestic incident that began in Glendale, Arizona, and ended at a Phoenix home near 47th Avenue and Bell Road. Police said the events unfolded shortly after midnight, when Glendale officers responded to reports of shots fired at a bar near 59th Avenue and Bell Road. A man told officers that his wife, later identified as 38-year-old Andrea Clarice Davis, had arrived at the bar and opened fire at him while he was there
with another woman.
The man was not injured, but a 36-year-old woman at the scene was shot in the back of the head. She was taken to a hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening, and she was expected to survive. Andrea Davis fled the bar in a gray SUV before officers arrived. As police were still dealing with the shooting scene, the man began receiving text messages from Andrea warning that she was going to harm their children.
Authorities said Andrea Davis was believed to be with the children at a nearby home in Phoenix. Glendale police alerted Phoenix police, and officers from both agencies responded to the residence. Before they got inside, the father reportedly received another message that included an image of one of the children injured and bleeding from the head. Officers forced entry into the home and found Andrea Davis, Austin Davis, and his younger sister, Andolan Davis, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators determined that Andrea Davis shot and killed her two children before taking her own life. A handgun was recovered inside the residence during a search warrant. Phoenix police took over the investigation of the deaths inside the home, while Glendale police continued investigating the earlier bar shooting.
No arrests were made because the suspected killer, Andrea Clarice Davis, died at the scene. As a result, there were no criminal charges, trial proceedings, or conviction connected to Austin’s death. Police treated the case as a double murder-suicide, with the earlier shooting at the Glendale bar considered part of the same chain of events. Family members said Andrea and her husband were separated and going through a divorce when the violence occurred.
