In a quiet North Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, a horrific scene unfolded on the evening of May 27, 2026, forever shattering the peace of the community. Inside a home on Londelius Street, law enforcement discovered the bodies of an entire family, victims of what was determined to be a murder-suicide. Among the deceased was 6-day-old Ella Basmajian, her 2-year-old brother, Alec Basmajian, and their 31-year-old father, Khajag Basmajian.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office later identified the family's ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African.
