Wendy Jo Halison, a 22-year-old Caucasian woman, was an art student living in Los Angeles, California. On September 29, 1968, she went shopping at a Thrifty drugstore near Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. Later that day, she was seen filling up her car at a nearby gas station. However, she never returned home. The next morning, her body was discovered stuffed in the trunk of her green Thunderbird, parked a few blocks from where she was last seen.
