In the late evening of May 31, 2026, the life of 42-year-old Jose Luis Trujillo Jr. was tragically cut short on a sidewalk in Houston's East End. Just before 9 p.m., residents in the 7200 block of Canal Street were startled by the sound of multiple gunshots. When they emerged, they discovered Trujillo lying on the ground, having sustained at least one gunshot wound.
