In the early summer of 2026, the life of 17-year-old Mikah Howell, a promising male student and football player at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, was tragically cut short. On June 6, 2026, Mikah sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head in what the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has described as an apparent accidental shooting.
