In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 14, 2026, the life of 19-year-old Jamari Johnson, a male from Claxton, Georgia, was tragically cut short. The events of that morning unfolded at a location known as the Iron Eagle on Highway 280. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the Evans County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a shooting at the establishment. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Johnson with a gunshot wound.
