An young girl's remains are found after she vanished while walking to school
On a crisp autumn morning, September 19, 1949, 11-year-old Joanne Ena Lynn, a white female, left her home in Hemlock, New York, for her routine walk to school. This day, however, she would not make it to her destination. Joanne vanished along State Route 15A, sparking a frantic search that gripped the small community.
