Celebrity Green, a 20-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, was killed in the early hours of April 1, 2026, after a late-night dispute inside an apartment on Ivey Lane turned deadly. Orlando police were called shortly after 12:45 a.m. to the 700 block of Ivey Lane for reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Green suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but she did not survive.
What began as an ordinary night reportedly unraveled over noise inside the apartment. According to police accounts reported after the shooting, Green had asked 17-year-old Osolomon Fitzhugh and another individual to leave because they were being too loud. The request led to an argument, and during the confrontation, Fitzhugh allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired multiple rounds. Green was struck by the gunfire. Family members later said she had been babysitting a young child at the time, and that a child was present when the shooting happened, adding another layer of trauma to an already devastating scene.
In the days after her death, Green’s family and community gathered at Willie Mays Park for a candlelight vigil. Loved ones described her as loving, honest, kind, charismatic, and someone who could brighten the lives of the people around her. Her mother, Shaunda Holley, spoke about the shock of losing her so suddenly, while relatives remembered the pain of hearing that someone so young had been shot and killed. The vigil was both a memorial and a demand for answers as investigators continued working the case.
At first, authorities had not publicly released suspect information, but the investigation soon led to an arrest. On April 10, 2026, Orlando police arrested Osolomon Fitzhugh, identified as a 17-year-old suspect in the shooting. He was booked into the Orange County Jail and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm. Police said the shooting stemmed from the argument over excessive noise and that Fitzhugh was accused of firing the shots that killed Green.
Investigators also said that all individuals involved in the incident had been identified and accounted for, including the second person who had reportedly been with Fitzhugh during the dispute. As of the reports released after the arrest, police said the case remained active and ongoing, and no additional details were being released in order to protect the integrity of the investigation. Green’s funeral arrangements listed a viewing for April 17, 2026, in Orlando, a service on April 18, 2026, and interment at First John Memorial Gardens in Apopka.
