Valerie Mack, also known as Melissa Taylor, was a 24-year-old woman working as an escort in Philadelphia when she disappeared in the spring or summer of 2000. Her dismembered remains were discovered in Manorville, New York, on November 19, 2000. Hunters found her torso wrapped in plastic bags in a wooded area near Halsey Manor Road. It wasn't until May 2020 that police identified her using genetic genealogy, having previously referred to her as "Manorville Jane Doe" or "Jane Doe No. 6."
