In the early morning hours of Friday, April 3, 2026, a heated argument in a residence on the 600 block of Chester Street in Lufkin, Texas, tragically escalated, ending the life of 43-year-old Korsah Lemar Simmons. Officers responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. to a chaotic situation, with one person at the home shouting, "he shot my uncle."
