On April 4, 2026, just after 1:30 a.m., police received a call about a disturbance at an apartment complex on Porter Street. While the call was in progress, the sound of gunshots echoed through the line.
When officers arrived at the 900 block of the street, they found Whitehead outside a residence with at least one gunshot wound.
