In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Pueblo, Colorado, a tragic event unfolded that would leave a family shattered and a community in shock. On April 4, 2026, 41-year-old Amanda Leigh Manion, a White female, was killed in a violent encounter. The incident also claimed the life of 40-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman Jr.
Police were called to the 1200 block of E. 4th Street around 1:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, which were corroborated by the city's ShotSpotter gunshot detection system. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene. One victim was found deceased in the street, and another was found inside a nearby vehicle. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified by the Pueblo County Coroner's Office as Manion and Beeman Jr.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led law enforcement to a second location in Pueblo West. There, they found the suspect, 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III, who was the son of Amanda Manion and Glenn Beeman Jr. The young man was deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The preliminary findings of the investigation suggest that the deaths were the result of a double murder-suicide. Authorities believe that Glenn Allen Beeman III shot and killed his parents before taking his own life. The motive for the killings has not been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
